National Innovation & Digital Strategy (2019-2029):

Sierra Leone's national digital strategy which, among other things, calls for a "Country-as-AI-Lab" approach which is aims to use AI and data science to address societal challenges and optimize solutions at a national scale. The strategy emphasizes applied data science for governance, evidence-based policy frameworks, and citizen-centered design. The strategy also calls for the Ministry of Justice to review and develop critical laws and regulations that protect citizen data, and regulatory sandbox framework for live testing of technology generally.
